38 Calvin Beal JD power..

I am considering buying a 38 Calvin Beal powered with a 525 John Deer..
Anyone have any idea what the top speed of this boat should be.
Any input on a 38 Calvin Beal would be great. It is a 2006..

525 hp JD would be the 12.5 liter. Should top out at 22-24 knots depending on the weight of the boat. A few recently launched 38s have been powered with the new 9 liter 500hp JD and they topped out at 22-23 knots. The 38 Calvin has a 15' beam. Very big, very stable.
