Touch of Grey: I hope you enjoy your 38 as much as I have enjoyed mine. And to double down on Raider Ronnie's comment, If I ever come across the dough for a 43, Dave will be building it.

Recessing the lights makes sense same as recessing the zinc. Flush mounted trim tabs are the only way to go. I'm still trying to figure out why the door is where it's at and why it's built like it is. I'm sure the owner has there reasons and that's all that matters.

There is no issue with the door, some people might find this shocking, the waterline is off and the boat sits down further, the water line has been fixed,
the door measurements are off of my fathers young brothers and we pulled plenty off big fish in. Had the same set up on my fathers boat with hauler on same side to help assist with pulling in big fish, Had no issues.

Honestly the door height should have never mattered. We've pulled 200#+ fish over the rail of our SeaVee and that's probably higher(we do have a door we use, we're not total clowns:)). For example the door on Hot Tuna, and the 50' Wesmac Discovery are high, and they pull plenty of fish through them.

Either way, beautiful boat, the color is awesome. Looking forward to seeing it offshore this season.

Looks awesome. Love the proportion of the house with the double angled side windows. Along with the color it just screams fast. Best of luck with her.

Little fun fact, my fathers 40 young brothers was the old Hot Tuna before they got Dixon, the set up worked great

I’m in the middle of a pretty big project on my 33 Flowers.
Bill asked me to start a tread with pictures.
The boat has a few issues I knew about when I bought the boat and I got a deal on the boat as a result.
I used the boat for a few years and dealing with them now.
Told him NO
Seems some have a bone to pick Ken & or Dave Flowers from past builds which in my opinion is completely uncalled for.
As with all builders they can’t control what they didn’t do (owners work or installs which was my case.
I would have them build & finish a new build in a heartbeat if I could afford it.
I’ve visited their shop & checked out some of their builds near me.
1st rate work plus they have some superior hull designs.
Still think you should post it and I’ll just delete any negative comments. You do nice work , we’d all like to see the project ..

Jeff has a great point Ronnie. It's winter. We just got hammered in snow. Post up some of your work. We are itching for that stuff.

We got 42 inches the other day in some towns. Crazy storm. I think Harrisville NH had 48. Trees down, lines down. Plows. Could not pass. We had to load bobtail with a transport for 3 days. No power.

Sucky year for my area. (I plow off-ramps rt 495, rt 1 up to King St Franklin)
Got about 8.5 hrs total in a truck.
Won’t even cover expenses this year.
