80's Rebuilt 3208 Good or bad Idea

Looking at a set of 3208 early 80's rebuilt with gears for short money, Good or bad Idea. Ballpark $$?

3208's are a great motor if not jacked up to 375 or more. Rebuilt depends on who rebuilt them. $ and what condition and what gears. Are they naturals ? They are heavy for their power out put, but that keeps them going long. What do you plan to put them in ?

rated 300hp they have mg506 1.5.1 transmissions
port engine was completely rebuilt from the block up. The starboard had top end service done injectors,turbo overhaulded,new fuel lines coolant,belts impellors ect they appear super clean

I will be putting them in a 29' sportfish

That is a lot of engine for a 29' anything. Will they fit? No way they would make it in a topaz 29.

Cookie, IMO, good motors, way TOO MUCH weight for a 29 footer ??

ya a little heavy, I got a heavy boat, current engines are 275hp lehmans(good sized engines w/ big engine boxes)

if its the boat you have listed on craigs list, you'll have to cut them decks up to get them in there. Your replacing inline 6 with a v8 damn near 3 times as wide
