I just had a call from a man who is selling an 8V92 coupled to a 514C TwinDisc 2:1. The engine is a running take out TA putting out 650 hp, heat exchanger cooled. Engine has been painted with Awl Grip in silver.

If interested call George at 1800-427-1333 (business) or 978-361-6301 (cell)

I don't have any pictures of it yet, but when they arrive I will share them.

8v92! does that model also come with the handy drip pan and pump that automatically refills the crank! Those were great! you never really had to do oil changes as it just burned off the old oil and you could just dump fresh (or not fresh) in the drip pan!

What year and horsepower rating were the 8V-92's you had so much trouble with? I had a 1984 8V92 TA silver 445 for eight years. I ran over 100,000 gallons of fuel through it with only routine maintenance ,no major repairs and no oil leaks other than the airbox vent drain tubes that released oil deliberately at idle. I sold it running to a neighbor in 1999 and we're still talking. The Series 60 is a far superior product but the 2 strokes really cleaned up their act in their last 10 to 15 years of production.
