A & B ports on steering solenoid ??

So does anyone know how the A & B ports on a steering solenoid convert to right and left ports on the helm ??? Does A = right ?? B = left ?? just trying to save myself some messy work swapping hoses.

If it was hooked up backwards couldn't you just switch the wires easier with less mess?

Thats what i tought and asked John at Marine Hydraulics in Rockland about it, he said to switch the hoses but i'm with you i don't think it would make a difference.

I wouldn't think it would matter either, but I'm no expert.
