After putting everything back up into the console after some spring cleaning the Raymarine L755 has decided to act up again.

In seasons past it has decided all on its own to cycle the power supply so that the unit turns off then right back on, of course by doing so I lose the gps function and the RL70C starts screaming at me (oh no oh no I've lost the gps signal, we're all gonna dieeeeeee). And as a bonus it sometimes takes quite a while to get a satellite fix, i.e. five to ten minutes.

The deal this season is the power cycling, on and off, right from initial start up and after that seemed to clear up still no satellite fix for over 30 minutes (when I finally turned it off still with no fix). All connections are clean and solid, all plugs seated properly. Power supply is constant and all terminals are clean and tight.

RL70C is solid and just waits patiently like an old hunting dog waiting for a duck to drop out of the sky. Thoughts?

If your a 100% sure all conn is good, ground is good. There should be a way to display the units firware version, write it down, call raymarine there probably is a firmware update for the unit

I have a 3 year old Raymarine wide C80 with the SIRIUS weather module.

I have to cycle the C80 unit on "twice" to get the weather/radio app up and running.

Fickled I guess !

Stick that Northstar 952 you have(if you didn't sell it:D) on the boat, they're bombproof.

Rick picked that unit up
I think I will stick with the radar overlay with the ray marine
comes in so handy when you're blasting through the fog doing 30 and encounter a north atlantic speed bump 15 miles from shore
