Just back from a trip to Newfoundland; what a gorgeous place. Here's some boat porn, canadian style.

Seems all they use in Newfoundland is these round traps. I haven't seen these used since the 70's. Why so popular there and not here??

The larger boat had to be cut up into three pieces and flown in to this location by helicopter and then reassembled.









This one's my favorite. The view outside my hotel room; I drooled for hours waiting for the owner to climb aboard - no luck. If I ever do a build all over again...

Great pics S.P. Thanks for sharing. Did you take the boat up there? I spent 10 days up there (Deer Lake) many years ago. Took the truck on the ferry out of Sydney, NS. Landed at Port A Basque (sp?) and drove up the west side of the province. Hit Gros Morne national park, and some fantastic salmon and trout fishing. Great folks up there.
