If you have an engine box, DON'T drop it on your foot when putting it back in place after checking something on engine !
And should you have to suck it up and get through 2 charters for the day with a left foot swollen and have been limping all day, DON'T fall getting into boat and screwing right ankle

I hope you had a cooler full of slush ice to stick your foot into! Hope OSHA doesn't see that pic or we'll be wearing steel toe fish boots?

I did the same with a friend's engine box on his DE. Also had to suck it up for the day. I'm glad I didn't roll the other ankle. Looks like that hurts not that the left foot doesn't hurt too. Good luck with the healing.

I wasn't to far off from that but it was my hand...

I replaced my 4" hinges at West Marine for my engine hatch. They only had the store brand but I figured it was okay. We'll not after lifting the hatch 4 times one of the two hinges broke and lucky I dropped it out of my hand.

Come to find out that inside of this was a roll pin, where my old hinge was a solid pin inside. So I ended up hitting up Jamestown for a real perko latch and been fine since...

Just beware its not all the same even though it basically had the same casting.

Hey Ronnie,Take care of that foot;it looks damn nasty!

I knew there had to be another reason why I hated my engine box so bad! I think thats the main reason I want to move up...to get rid of that freakin box!

Both feet still black & blue & pretty sore, today made 2 weeks since hurting them.
Was off my feet for a week & a half.
Had 2 trips booked for today (sat)
Never thought I would be glad to say this but it was blowing a gale and we had to rescheduled both.
Wind letting up enough this evening and back at it with 2 trips tomorrow.
Hope the feet (and ibuorofen) ) hold up tomorrow.

Be Careful Ron

Ron,

Be careful out there and what you post, Rex Ryan could be a lurker here and be turned on by that picture of your foot. Good Luck tomorrow with the bass and good call today with the wind. We cancelled also as it would have sucked 30 miles offshore today.
