So I want to cover this up, sure its been great to work on it but what an insightly mess. I've replaced a majority of this but still have about half of it to go. Adding more and more zipties and channels of wiring to this.

So my idea is to add a false bulkhead but its not an ideal.

1st off, my idea was to run it all the way to the deck. This fails because you need to access to the left, which access's the starboard side of the engine room, etc. So my fat ass has to fit. So then I was just thinking of a hanging cabinet style one, big doors, etc.

I was thinking of tabbing this into the overhead and having it come down 2'. Was thinking of doing it out of spare nidacore. The only thing is this, just not sure how to make a frame to attach the bottom. I'd like to do something better than just 2x4's coming off the bulkhead. I have that angle iron but not sure how to tab it off the bulkhead... Oh well, any idea's would be great...

If the view is eating @ you why not a simple 90 degree shower curtain rod with a decent heavy duty fabric?

GOOGAN!!!!

Just kidding, that is what I've seen before... but try to make it look more professional than that and practice some skills...

Maybe next year I will tie in the bottom part of the cabinet...

Here are some pictures...

On the bottom picture... The stairs get removed to access one side of the engine and all the way back to the stern. Then on the other side that door opens so you can access the other side as well.

Pretty good, because I am at the real big guy size and I can crawl on the starboard all the way back to the transom, on the port side only back to the exhaust...

This is about 14" off would cover everything... I was thinking of taking a piece of nidacore and hitting it with a torch to give it a nice curve... I dont know...

Any idea's on the framing would be GREAT...

Get yourself two sheets of 1/8" plywood if you want to bend it, set yourself up a form, put some contact cement on the mating surfaces and bend the exterior into place, add the second layer and let it set up. You'll have about 20 bucks invested

That is pretty nice, what is the paneling there?

what is the best way to hang this bulkhead off on the bottom for support? I hate the idea of 2x4's... I was almost thinking of using 3/4-1" pipe, like the 90 base's for a bow rail, mount four on the bottom seperated every 8" or so. Sounds pretty googan... Up top isn't the problem...

That's all nida core. It was a solid bulkhead then I cut the panels out. The trim is just solid strips of fiberglass, about 4 pieces of 1708 layed up on top of eachother. Then west systemed onto the nida core.

So the cardboard boxes came out today... Had some fun and see some pain in the ass interference's that I have.

My first problem is the access to the engine right now. On the right hand side of the picture, those stairs move IN and forward, they are angled so can't come straight up and out.

The second part is wanting to have access to the left hand side of the picture.

So I came up with this top only but man it sticks out, almost as bad as a MOLE, lol.

I can't find 1/8" plywood so was just going to get 1/4" plywood and then white formica over it.

I thought about tying it in on the bottom and having a little cabinet that came out.

I also plan on having some vent holes in it too... any thoughts would be great...

Have you considered having a canvas cover made to cover everything up?
