I figured I'd pass this along to the guys who might want to monitor engine load (EGT). Not all marine diesels are electronic. :D

The Cummins-Beede OEM gauge panel comes with a "blank" for a standard 2 1/16" gauge. I just found out Seaboard Marine has a new EGT monitoring gauge kit that is a standard 2 1/16 inch diameter gauge.

I'll be installing the EGT gauge on the new 370 in the 25 T Jason repower.

Nice kit.

I think egt gage is a must for anyone dragging. It will tell you alot about the way the gear is towing if you mudded up or picked up A rock out traps we use it on the big boat all the time and a great tool good call bill love the idear

Now where are you going to put your gauge for your clutch oil pressure? That's what I put there.

On my Yanmar panel I used the blank for the tranny pressure guage and got the 4" pyro gauge. Isspro make the best ones.

Agreed, nice panel. You are installing a 370hp Cummins in your 25' boat? Do you have seat belts and helmets? That things going to fly :D.

No seat belts required.
Think of the 370 as a very strong 270
I'll be de-tuning the 370 by propping the engine too 3200 rpm WOT full load.

The engine won't producing all that much hp for my needs @ 2400 rpms.

Remember the gear is a 1.5 and the boat will have a 20X22 prop.

The 6BT 210/220 was "not quite enough" hp for my needs and the 370 is the "best buy" of the after cooled mechanical 6BTA RECONS.

So no, it will be not a fast boat. :D
