Hi,
I cleaned my Cummins 330B aftercooler for the 1st time (350 hours). Everything went great.
EXCEPT the actual aftercooler bundle had 4 rubber strips (see below) that run the length of the bundle from top to bottom on the air side only. They rested in what could be condsidered the corners.
2 of the 4 would not stay on when I put the bundle back in, they would bunch up against the housing. I could not get them to re-seat, so I took them out. Since they are only on the air side, is that OK? 2 are still in place.
