I've been on a test rig with that transducer but on a center console. The issue on a downeast hulll is the keel, which depending on the placement of the ducer, especially with the wide angle, could have some shadowing. The further outboard you can get with that ducer the better. Which CHIRP unit do you plan on pairing it with?

I would go with the 16 degree Bill. Especially if you are pushing it outboard.

Since my original post I'm thinking a a B75M CHIRP
connected to a Garmin 1040xs plotter/finder.

The new trailer for the 25 T Jason is due in tomorrow.

I'll be able to measure between bunks and install the transducer between the two say maybe 24 inched out from the keel.

The dead rise is less out further from the keel so depending on the angle I'll install a 12 or 20 degree.
