I have two 93 gallon RDS aluminum fuel tanks built July 1988. They are not leaking or anything , just wondering what the lifespan of these tanks are ,and what $ I would be looking at to replace ? The boat has been in freshwater since the year 2000.
Thanks
Mine lasted 16 years before they (1) started leaking. The boat was kept in freshwater, however it was used in salt water. 2 new aluminum 60 gallon tanks from Luthers Welding in Providence cost about 2k with fittings.

Depends where you are putting them. If it is a spot that is easy to get to and keep an eye on, use them. If it is under a deck, glassed in and a pita to replace, consider new over the hassle of replacing them later.
