I bought this 25 T Jason last week and had it hauled to Haverhill from Winthrop.
Not sure what I'll do with it "yet" but I'm pretty sure I'll have a winter project going on. :D

Has a 124 hp Volvo ADQ40A, Volvo 1.9:1 tranny. 18X14 Prop, Not the fastest 25 on the water. Has full hydraulics.

Lightening her up a bit and shifting some weight around. Hopefully gonna put her in the mighty Merrimack River on Sunday and "sea trial" her fully before making any decisions on what to do.

Nice little 25 foot "beater lobster boat" like Bill's "new" 25 footer !;)

Bill, looks like a great project. Finally you'll get to grind some fiberglass. Let me know when you get settled in, would love to see it. Best of luck.

Will do !

Both Bill's with the same boat???

This is getting a little scary......:?

I had my eye on Bill's rig out of Long Island....he beat me to the "1st dibs"" on that one.

This one's an 89, Bill's is an 88. Both identical..just setup different..gas vs diesel, fuel tanks etc.

Fall/winter will be here soon !!

De-barnacled, de-rust stained....

she'll clean up pretty good.

I've already moved the 40 gallon fuel tank to the stern, stripped her of the hydraulics (hydraulics are for sale) and when I launch the boat I'll mark the "new" waterline.

I'll have the bottom/boot stripe and the hauling side (blue paint) soda blasted away and start "fresh".

This boat was setup for lobstering with as much room as possible in the cockpit.

The 6 cylinder Volvo (1025 lbs) was installed with 5 cylinders forward of the helm bulkhead. The fuel tank was mounted on port side under the helm cabin windows.

The boat sat in the water with her ass end up !

I'll be putting around the upper river for a while til I shakedown this Volvo.
I'll have the anchor ready "just in case" :D

Gonna be an entertaining winter for builds.

Why remove the hydros? Gonna haul by hand?

By the way. I think the name is fitting. You should leave it. :D

That's what my wife said " Leave the name" "if buy that POS" !
"You are out of your mind" !! "TWO boats" ??

Tooo much stuff up (weight) front in this small boat.
I have a nice new Electradyne 30:1 SS 10" hauler I was going to put on the Blackfin.
Much simpler and lighter for the boat and I only have 10 traps.:D

Congrats BillD !! glad you finally got yourself a project. Hey that house needs a visor !! Are you going to mount the hauler on a davit or are you going to move the steering over and bulkhead mount it ?? When you deal with the raw water pump have fun getting those square "o rings" to seal, use plenty of teflon tape. Keep the pics coming, i'm all eyes :D
