Any Honda/Quicksilver/Merc controls gurus here?

I've got a side/flush mount set of controls that came with a Honda. My mechanic pointed out that it's in fact a Commander 3000 classic by Quicksilver that's been reworked and rebadged as a Honda flush mount (RH).

I want a top mount (binnacle) style. Apparently this is the same control box with a different mount and arm. Can I source the plastic bits and use it as a top mount? I don't care if the arm looks different, but I would prefer to have it look semi-factory.

I could make a custom box/cover, but that sounds sketch and labor intensive.

It looks roughly like this (except in Honda form with a assymetrical arm - can't find pic):

Or should I just try to sell the thing ($100? 150?) and buy a new Honda binnacle for $230...

Thanks for input/suggestion/ideas.

Actually, Morse has tilt trim on the handle options. The usual resellers don't show it.
I have trim on the handle but would rather not. It gets inadvertently touched on occasion. Have also had to replace the switch every few years.

And, you can just by the plastic binnacle if trying to save a few dollars.
I'd go OEM if available and reasonable though.
