Anyone have good ideas for making deck hatches less slippery besides mats and sea deck

non-skid paint additive. Basically sand in a bottle. Sandpaper grip tape (think skateboard) would work too, but I rather use paint.

White Grip tape with adhesive backing, not sure how it would hold up with constant water but easy/ cheap enough to replace.

Send the hatches out for powdercoating. When they come back, lightly sand the powdercoated paint, apply marine paint with additive.
LPU/Awlgrip with the coarse Griptex particles works well. The particles absorb the paint, so where there is wear there is no color change.

Could also use epoxy paint with Griptex, or gelcoat and a roller.

Everyone on boat has the slip resistant xtra tuffs, but the hatches just get way to slippery.

Philly clad sticks to them pretty well if they are prepped good. Adhesive tape that hamilton sells works pretty good also, and quick and easy to apply, and not very expensive

I've thought about having them sprayed with bed liner.

If Aluminum Sand them with 60 or 80 grit /sandblast is better. Prime with Zinc Chromate and paint light coat of your choice. With sand if wanted. If Stainless skip the Zinc Chromate.

Nice Pic you have there Liam. Did you draw the short straw and have to be the center rigger mount that day ?

nope was up there getting the out rigger lines down and Install the center rigger. The people who did the mount over the winter did not give us the the pin so the outrigger would stay in place so a role of electric tape had to do for that trip.

I was at the boat for a week, the dock bass did not have the best week just leave it at that.
