We have done that in past but was looking for another idea, thanks leaky and all others who commented.A lot of people put rubber mats over them - nicer on your feet too.

nope was up there getting the out rigger lines down and Install the center rigger. The people who did the mount over the winter did not give us the the pin so the outrigger would stay in place so a role of electric tape had to do for that trip.If Aluminum Sand them with 60 or 80 grit /sandblast is better. Prime with Zinc Chromate and paint light coat of your choice. With sand if wanted. If Stainless skip the Zinc Chromate.
