Considering building a skiff. I don't really want to do plywood or glasses over stitch and glue again.

Options are

find someone with a mold to pop a bare hull

Make a wood plug

make a foam plug

or do another stitch and glue boat.

Ive looked all over trying to find a cheap used DE skiff or a work skiff like a stonington. I want a beater for clamming, bouncing off rocks, duck hunting etc.

16ish not looking for a beauty queen.

There was a 20 or 22 Novi mold advertised on craigslist. I think he was asking $5k for it and molds for two others if I recall. Can't remember what the others were. Maybe he will separate them and sell relatively cheap? That was a few weeks ago.

He may sell this separately, "Also available is a mold for an 8' x4'dinghy for $600." Would this work?"

She's a beauty too but I don't really need an engine or a trailer.

I may order a set of plans from Bateau and build one if I have time this winter.

I just picked up a 15' fiberglass stonington skiff hull. The glass is in good shape but will require new hull and transom coring (not that big a job as it's all flat shapes). Pictures are posted here (before and after cleaning).

I've also got it listed on RI Craigs list (search Stonigton Skiff).

Boats located in Charlestown RI. Just the hull. No trailer.

Throw me an offer.

I've got a 12.5' er. Brand new mold, built one for my brother, 5' beam flat bottom with molded keel. Just fits between the wheel wells of a full size pu truck. Has 3 molded seats/flotation. pm if interested
