I am experimenting as they are very expensive. And also super heavy I may have to take the runners off. My 12 in hauler is going to have its work cut out this year. Lol..

Def big and awkward that's why I only bought 2. Lol. If I can dial them in for my needs then maybe I will overlook that.

Yeah from Ketchum someone ordered them and the sale fell through I guess. I know they are the perfect width for the bed of my full size truck, not sure of the weight. I can imagine what they are gonna weight with some slime on them let alone with fish.

We haul 20 pot trauls in 50+ fa watter the hauler should work fine

20 pot trawls rigged with these pots? I know there are real strong haulers out there that could do it easily just not sure about the one I have. Its just a 12 inch with dual v belt pulley Pitts clutch.

No lobster traps 4 foot big box 3 eargo blocks 17fa between so theres lots of strain on the hauler works just a good as the 14inch hauler just less speed

Oh the traps are 4 foot big box all 10 gage heavy gear id say about 50 pounds each so close to 200lbs off the bottom

Those traps catch blackfish very well and they do ok with scup. But they dont catch seabass nearly as well as the lobster style trap.

Just regular crab pot worked good on sea bass just reshaped the tunnels a bit, easy to handle . don't ask why but seemed like plain galvanized out caught the vinyl covered. Seen a few float too.

Here on Long Island they call those traps heart traps and they set them around structure for sea bass and scup. They don't bait them the fish go into them more for hiding and living space then they can't get out. The ones guys use around here are pretty big and heavy.
