I got an old roberertson on the boat. The rudder sensor is shot. Other then ebay, is there any where to get these parts ??? if not are there any newer pilot systems reasonabley priced, that might even work with the current pump ?

Call Simrad as they bought Robertson Shipmate years ago and may be able to help you out.

I would think you would be able to reuse the pump. On my Simrad AP22 the computer board just sends 12 volts to the reversible pump either port or starboard. I think if you got a scematic online you would be able to tell if the pump would work. It's possible you might be able to buy a simrad rudder indicator. I wouldn't think there wouldn't be too much of a difference. Like I said get a scematic of the old and something comparable new and look at the schematics. Good luck.

Replacing the Robertson rudder feedback sensor

The units listed on the Simrad web site are identical to the Robertson units from the 90's. You did not say which Robertson unit you have, but I expect you will get a match.
