I'm looking for an autopilot for my 30 sisu. Just want to set a course . I don't need any zig zag,bells and whistles ,etc.. Si tex has one that can be bought for 1750.00 .i was told alot of the commercial boats use it .. Any one have any suggestions :confused

call precision, I just bought a Furuno pilot from him. there on vacation till march 1, but you might catch him in there, or leave a message I'm sure he'll call back. very smart and helpful young fella. name of chris

My suggestion would be to see what is out there that might interface with your current electronics or maybe plan ahead a little if you are going to change any of the electronics on the boat so they might all work together.

biggest point to make my decision would be whether you have power steering or not presently......if not you are going to need a electric hydraulic assist steering pump in your system which can drive up the price

Com Nav 1420 simple bare bones entry level auto pilot. Complete system with pump was around $1500. No digital display or gadgets just push button and go.

Post what chart plotter you have and or nav system is a big help


I like the AP24 from simrad, great unit

Raymarines new evolution series is getting some good reviews, and price point is cheaper then simrad
