Battery Location?

I have two very heavy 8d wet cell batteries located on starboard side of engine. Very hard to get to! The boat is a 31 BHM with cummins 6 bt 5.9?. Any suggestions on re-locating batteries? They are very heavy!

With that motor 4-Ds are plenty. Just keep them very close the starter so there is no voltage drop in the cables. 4-D are about 80 lbs. All you need.

I've got a 31' BHM. Got two 8Ds centered in front of the main bulkhead. It works out so the battery box sort of doubles as a step for going down below.

With that motor one single Group 31 isolated ONLY for starting the 6B is also plenty. Figure 64 lbs.
