Beam system for engine install

I fabricated this at my house .... going to use it with a two ton trolly & two ton chain hoist to install my new Iveco in my Wayne Beal.....made it so it can take the weight of a larger motor in the future.

Nice. How tall is it. I assume that is just to lift it out of the hole and move aft in the cockpit to pick it out. And then use something else to lift it out of the cockpit like that sweet forklift your using.

yes to move into engine location safely....with donnage and trailer bet i could use to get into back of boat using this set up....but gonna figure something else out for getting engine in cockpit.

Similar to what I use, only mine is Aluminum and it is suspended from the I-beam track in the bay

I have similar too...nice to have good control with chain fall going in...gunna make the legs like yours this time...much safer and stable. Looks good!

thanks...it's really my first steel project and i used #2 weight steel on the legs and that's a 6" beam...i welded it all up with a syncrowave 250 i picked up two years ago. Took me longer than i thought but i am interested in playing with stainless next and have hopes for some alum projects being a harpooner and all.
