Bedding compound

I am getting ready to reinstall three freeman aluminum hatches in the deck of my Sisu. What's the best stuff to use that will be watertight but will allow removal down the road.

Lots of stuff out there to use but I like the 3M 4000.

was told to use a Silacone product from"GE" that has a fungacide in it...any info? thanks Tommy
