Bent Butt Rod Storage

How do you guys store your bent butt stand-up rods? All my straight 30's and 50's are in heavy duty rod racks I made and screwed to the garage ceiling. My bent butt 70's are in the rec room and my Lab has taken a liking to the handles.

Hang them by the reel lugs, either with hooks or you can buy the fancy hangers made by Rupp and Lee.

Buy yourself some brass eyelets from home depo.....and screw them into the wood overhead.......measure the reel lugs...and put the eyes on each side of each lug......then run a 5 '' gav bolt through the reel lugs.....easy....if you don't want to use bolts you can use heavy zip ties

I've got rod holders down below stb side on a shelf of a built in storage area.
I clip the leader at hook, wind all main line & leader onto reel, separate rods , leave reels in bent butts, butts in rod holders.
Really like this way of storing the 130s.
Only down side, have to re-crimp hooks each use but thats no big deal.

Thanks for the ideas. I think I'm going to mount some eyelets for each reel and run a piece of dowel rod through the reel lugs and eyelets then wrap a #64 rubbner band around each end of the rod so it doesn't pull out.

Eye bolt

I use the eye bolt method but instead of wood dowel
I use a clip from the rod to eye hook
