Good Luck with the new site. I'm a DE junkie, just took delivery of my 31RP last Sept. She is set up as a charterboat, we fish out of Long Beach, LI, NY - out of Jones and Debs Inlets. Never tire of talking about these style of boats.

Thanks Jimmy Jawz! The hull was laid up at RP's boat shop in Steuben Maine-the RP is a Willis Beal design. Unfortunately the molds for the 31 and 35 foot were lost in a fire. There has been talk of RP starting up again - tough going in this ecomomy. If anyone knows, I would be curious as to what is happening. The hull was trucked up to S.E. Newman & Sons boatshop in Campobello NB for the finishing work. Stephen and crew did a fine job and accomodated my many ideas and wants and built me one tough boat which is well suited to my style of fishing. That being mainly wreck fishing for Cod, Seabass & Blackfish along with other assorted bottom fish. We also chase Tuna, Stripers and Fluke - whatever is running strong.

Thank you guys! She is powered by a 435 Volvo D6 - computer controlled. Little or no smoke. Dont want to jinx myself, but the engine has been flawless so far and I have over 300 hrs. the first year running her. No generator, a canyon trip would be a special trip for us - I opted to keep her as simple as I could. The boat loves to go between 14-18 knots. She tops out at around 27 knots.
