good day, have a 32' bhm (maybe a flye pt. 32) with extended hardtop for caribbean use. looking for photos or advice on installing a gin pole. have old wooden 11' box section sailboat boom would like to use. if based on cockpit sole it extends about 3' above cabin top. thinking of doing "yard arm" with block & tackle. use mainly for dinghy haul but never know when would need to lift a 200# tuna/sailfish. would be offset, inside port splash rail.
worried about looks, any old photos out there? saw one on old duffy 34 but can't relocate, thanks for any leads

Sea Isle in Freeport used to make the perfect ginpole for your boat. He has all the components you need to make one: The cap, base & tackle. All you would need buy in addition is an 8' albumin electrical conduit pipe which is cheap. The attached shows the pole.

Thanks Cpt. Larry, I'm way down south, Bequia, SVG, trying to use what I have available with the 11' wood boom. The photo sent helps, hight above cabin top looks good, your not using any type of yard/tackle for booming out?
