BHM mold 31,32

Clueless....Were there two different molds or just one and people call it a 31 or 32

Two names depending on if it was more along the commercial side of things versus the pleasure side

I think offically it was called a BHM 31. It might be 31' 11" so it is a natural to call it a 32fter.

My BHM is called a BayFisherman 32 ' This is the original pic from 1988. Two owners later it is on the Arkansas river in Little Rock.

My friends father has one. He calls it a 32. It has a wet keel. His has a 300? Isuzu. The larger of the Isuzus that was marinized in Japan by Isuzu. It's no rocket ship but man is it a tank!!

Mine measures 31' 10" I am Sure they did not make another mold for 1' difference. Just my opinion.

LOL I guess that goes to show what time does. My brotherinlaw bought hull 3 and has owned it all these years. He calls it a BHM 31. We have a small fleet of them in my harbor.

Maybe they became 32's when Atlantic boats got ahold of them? I thought it was Blue Hill (BHM), Flye Point, Atlantic. Mine is an Otis Enterprises BHM, built in 1980. Call it a 31, on the documentation it's 28.4. Wonder how many were finished in Searsport? I'm sure someone here knows.

I haven't finished digitizing all the archives yet, quite a few albums to go through. But there are pictures of Icebreaker, yes

Yes but sometimes they want to update a mold lets say no longer make it with a X foot beam so they make a totally different mold even though its the same LOA....I was just trying to make sure this wasnt the case with the BHM 31 model...Like Calvin BEal South Shore 30 and then dont they have a new one that is totally different design much bigger beam?

This one was finished by Travis's dad in believe in 1984.
Started out a 31.
Chuckie took a skill saw to it and it's been a 36 (in length) for quite some time.
He cut the house off and rebuilt it 2 years ago.
Repowered last year also.
