Offshore trips for cod,haddock,pollock (ground fish) out on Stellwagen bank & Wildcat Knoll

Pretty good Striper fishing in Boston harbor today.
Lots of fish. Most mid 20 lb size. A few 28-30 lbs Largest 35 lbs

Some nice fish in Boston harbor now !
Been getting 20-40 lb fish every trip out with a few 50s the last few days.
1st pic, my older son & a few of his friends with all 25-40 lb fish.
Yesterday my partner boat (Ave Maria 2) out did me with a 54lber.
Today my mate & his dad went out and got up to 48lbs & a 50.5

WOW is the word. Catching such giant fish, looks like a work of pro. That fish would be now eatable for quiet a few months now. I'm gonna go fishing now.

Back in business

After the long winter working on the boat and launched last saturday.
Had a busy week of trips.
One of the highlights of the week was a last minute call from the a guy with Fleetwood Mac. Said they were coming into town and wanted to experience some Boston Harbor striped bass fishing on thursday.
Great trip with LOTS of fish caught & released. They kept a high 20lb fish I filleted, bagged & iced down which they took back to their hotel and had their chief cook up for them.
Friday evening my wife & I attended the show courtesy of VIP passes from them. Got to hang and had a few beers on their tour bus, tour of the back stage & stage prior to the show then seated dead center behind the sound & video mixing area. Was a great show & a great time.
Big fish of the week was one just shy of 40 lbs that barely fit in the new below deck fish boxes.

No doubt Dave, she can't hit the high notes anymore.
Definitely not the same as she looked back in 1978, but then again, I've seen the family pictures of you guys holding up some slob bass caught back about 1978 or so and none of those people look the same now
Was a good show but even more so very cool hanging on the tour bus and back stage.
They assured me they will be back out with us next time in town and next time John Mcvie for sure and possibly Mick Fleetwood would be with them !

Great Work! Been following the project on the boat and you have done such a good job. Given me way too many ideas on modifying my boat. Looks like the fishing has been really good for you since you launched. Hopefully those slobs hang around up North here for commercial season this year!
