I need to get a new block and tackle. Sure seems simple enough but starting researching and wonder what was best. I had an old two block, double sheeve before had it forever. Hard to find the blocks online, I'm only looked limited but seemed very pricey. Then I saw Schaffer Marine or something has a couple in the magazines joining up near $300 mark.

Then of course last year just incase I ran into something big I threw a Harborfreight chain fall for $79 in my bag. Returned it at the end of the season...

Try a Sail boat "Boom Vang" set up. The best price I think is Garhauer anodized w SS blocks (2,800 lbs load 5/1 ratio w 50 feet 5/8 yacht braid. Mauri pro sailing. Or search "Harken Blocks" and make ur own. The one Fishermans sells are Harken Blocks. And yes, I admit to being a one design sail boat racer in my younger days.
