Here is a story about a boat crash that happened a month ago or so. Good reminder to not drink and drive. So many little details but in the end no one looks good. Also a good reason to go slow in the dark...

Got to laugh at the older guy defending the guy saying he's a good person.

Running at speed at night around NYC. Just no defending it really.

Worst part about this is that there are so many idiots around the W end of LI sound that you dont know what you are going to find at night. I saw 3 different boats running at night at planing speeds this summer without any lights whatsoever. Only reason I saw them was b/c I was on my bridge where its nice and dark/high and there was someone on 2 of the boats with their cell phone lit up. Scary.
