Probably cheapest to hire a transporter in NY as I think they charge mileage round trip, including back to their location.

I've been working with East coast Trailer for a delivery of our 33 Duffy in early Nov., so far so good. good communications, answered all my questions. Expect the move from NB to Warren MA will go smoothly.

There is an auction site linked off Yachtworld where you receive bids for the shipping. You have to screeen the responses though since some of the low bidders aren't really equipped for the job.

be sure to check with the steamship authority if your not going to tow it( or drive it) to the cape from here..because on a trailer it probably will not fit on the steamship, would have to go on the frieght boat.. but the actual loading ramp to both boats has a hieght restriction also..
and in about another month and a half, the steamship rates drop one way from ack to the mainland..

O'Hara Brothers

I did some checking around and O'Hara Brothers came higly recommended. I ended up using them on a transport from Beaufort to Orleans and was very, very happy.

Can anyone recommend a transporter to move my 30' Pursuit from Montauk to my house. Not a long haul 15 miles.

Just used Certified Sales in Mass to haul 30' sisu from Maine to lower CT and the cost was $1600 (I think) which I thought was very low. The key was that they were centrally located.

They had a nice trailer to get my boat low enough to not need special permits to go over the road. They have 8 trucks out doing just this so they know what is up.

I would tow that sucker if I was you. In my 15' dinghy if I had to.

Joe Boat gets my vote. He moves my boat on a regular seasonal basis to store it in the yard at home, and launches it in the spring. Never had an issue. The fact that I have known him for a long time doesn't even come into play. 860-399-6120

Give All Island Marine transport in Sayville, NY a call. Great prices skilled professional loading and unloading. He's moved my 31 Duffy three or four times, wouldn't give a thought to using someone different.
