buffing molded in tread

Anybody have any tips to buffing the molded in tread on a 36 BHM? Im using 3M rubbing compound and a foam pad but it fills in the tread and its chewing up the foam pad quick. Any info is much appreciated! thanks

Forget the buffer, scrub it with cleanser, I like Bar Keepers Friend.

Try Soft Scrub with bleach...good stuff

my father uses round drill mounted scrub brushes..he uses soft scrub followed by 3m compound.. works really well
