Built in cooler seat

I would like to build a cooler seat that kind of blends in to the side of my boat. What should I use for insulation that i can glass in that doesn't melt? Secondly where do I purchase it from?

foil covered foam
2" thick
use that spray foam in a can for your seams

home depot, lowes, lumber supply, etc

DiFrenzy, why not just put a cooler with cushion in the wheelhouse for seat? I have that set up in mine, the coolers are YETI and can be purchased with
a cushion top. These have stout rubber feet and they do not slide around at all.
The plus is you can remove them if you need to.....
