Buisness trip to Cape Elizabeth Maine

Hey guys I am going to be headed up to Maine on June 20th for a business trip. Staying around Cape Elizabeth. Just wondering if there are any DE builders or boat yards in that neck of the woods for me to take a visit. Im thinking about extending my stay a few days if there is some things to do. Any info is greatly appreciated! Thanks!!

You'll be driving right past Steve Law (Mudhake on these forums) builder of the Seaworthy (BHM). Also, General Marine in Biddeford, is about 20 miles south of Cape Elizabeth. My boat is docked in South Portland, about 2 miles from Cape Elizabeth.

Thanks for the info mousetrap! Im thinking about taking my wife with me, can you recommend places to stay after i am done with work on Friday, if we where to stay the rest of the weekend.

I would definitely stay in the "Old Port" of Portland. Not sure what your price range is, but any of THESE HOTELS put you in walking distance to some of the finest restaurants you could imagine.

While you are here, check out Two Lights State Park, and the Portland Headlight which is in a free park called Fort Williams, both of which are in Cape Elizabeth. I might also be able to give you a harbor tour if the weather is better than this past weekend .

Good advice MouseTrap... Can't beat a summer weekend in Portland. Lowell Bros boat shop is just a few miles up the road in Yarmouth. If you're bringing the wife, a few favorite gourmet restaurants in Portland include Bresca and 555. Just make your reservations early!

I will be up in the area tomorrow night through friday afternoon if anyone is interested in meeting up and grabbing a beer. I am then going to head down to Kennebunkport for the rest of the weekend, if any other guys are located in that area.
