Sawstop contractor's saw is an easy decision. We use it everyday on the job. I can't find anything wrong with it. Going to buy another one to switch out my 20 year old Delta Contractor's Saw in my shop. How much are your fingers worth? The Orthopedic doc who did my shoulder told me it is rarely the weekend warrior who cuts off their fingers; most of the time it's a skilled tradesperson.

We switched to a Saw Stop commercial saw. Great for cabinetry and high quality work. The fence is excellent too. I checked the slot in the cast iron top to the saw blade and it was parallel within .001 as shipped, no adjustment needed. We have the hydraulic caster wheel base under it too. We also have a junkie commercial saw for cutting Coosa. We wanted a Delta but they did not have the safety features and the factory would not respond to my emails.
Saw Stop for sure! Worth the extra in safety

While on the subject, Id like to add to the safety side. Please remove all strings from hooded sweatshirts when using table saws and any power equipment.

Probably true… we get too comfortable.
Just need to make a quick cut…. Now have a short thumb and index finger on my right hand…

I bought all my tools from Craigslist. I've got a Jet 1.5HP with Xacta fence. It easily handles all sheet goods and can go through maple slabs and mahogany with a bit of finesse. Cast iron top, nice and sturdy
Like others have said, depends on use, and track saws are a great tool to have

Another safety thing, I saw a guy changing a blade on a big Delta table saw, the tape measure on his belt hit the on button! Fortunately the blade was already a bit loose, so his fingers Stopped the blade.
No digits lost, but serious cuts and lots of blood.
Dont forget to unplug any power tool before handling the blade.

ALWAYS DE-ENERGIZE!!!
Even cordless stuff. Pull the plug or the battery before changing blades and bits! Even a drill can mess up digits
Only takes a few seconds longer and could save alot of pain, or a finger.
