Sorry to say, Capt. Larry Festa passed away suddenly this morning. I don't have details, but it was sudden and from natural causes. RIP

Not even sure what to say. He gave me all sorts of input and help in trying to find a DE boat. Really great guy that I'm sad to say I never got to meet! Thought and prayers to his friends and family!!

RIP Larry. I knew him for 15 years or so - always a class act ready to lend advice. Saw him last year at Richie's one morning - he said since he sold Kristen he was fishing more than ever. Everybody wanted Larry in their crew.

RIP capt. Larry. My dad and uncle grew up with Larry, racing cars and fishing along with his dad and my grandpa. The worlds lost a lot of knowledge today. He'll be dearly missed by lots of people.

I am pretty new to the forum but always had great interest in his knowledge on the 31 JC. Man seemed like a great source of knowledge and always willing to offer it up. RIP Larrry.

RIP. I never met him but he freely shared his extensive knowledge of both DE boats and diesel/gearing/propping across several forums over the past decade. A huge, huge loss for the boating & fishing community in southern LI as well as the online forums he frequented.

Wow. What a shocker this is. Larry was one of my favorites on this forum. He always had great information to pass along. I enjoyed all of his comments. R.I.P. Captain, and tight lines!

Capt Larry was my best friend and like a father to me. The loss is a tough one.
Larry had hit replacement surgery a few weeks ago and was recovering home.
A blood clot developed in his leg that led to a heart attack this morning.

I will miss him every day.
