The 37' would swallow that engine whole and could burp up another several liters! She needs a C-12.

I have a c-7 cat 420h.p with 1400hrs and love the engine. No problems except a small hole when the water pump was casted and it waas replaced free of charge by cat. Excellent engine..:grin:

Join Boatdiesel and learn to use the search function. Lots of issues out here ( SF) in the 7 and 9's with fuel pumps and injectors. Cat guys changed out complete set of both in two charter boats with twin C-9 two weeks ago on my dock. 7 ltr sounds lite for a 37, but tYour local support is as important as the size and color of the engine.
