So the side of my boat is gouged/scratched up from pots banging against the side previous owner wasn't too careful when landing pots. I want to repair the scratches gouges and was thinking of using some of the heavier truck bed liner coatings to coat the side of the hull where the pots hit. I think i may be able to get it in a color close to the hull color or if not then just go with black since the hull is dark green. I don't want to use stainless or plastic sheeting because i don't want to deal with all the fastenings. I know the maine guys use a product called "philly clad"on the decks so i might look into getting some of that for the job. So give me your opinions guys.

it is glass i take it. take and sand the hull from fwd of your davit and aft 4' or5' too your liking and down below water line. take some fiberglass cloth and add some color too the resen.put a coat of resen, then cloth and couple coats more. but go below water so when pots come up thy don't dig in, get the cloth all one PC.

I want to use something more durable, the side is already scratched, gouged up from pots hitting it.

you could use bond doe filler its easy to use, then put heavy woven roven and -resin it will seal it, its a heavy fiber glass cloth. that's heaver then any truck bed liner. and Ive seen the Philly clad, they put it on rest room floors.

I wonder if seadek sheets would work.

When the get torn up in a few years, pull them off then replace.

Seadeck?? is that something like Starboard. I could get some HUMW sheet material and just bolt it on to the side but i'm trying to stay away from that look.
