Sweet looking boat here! It looks like it had some work done over the years.

I cant put my finger on it but a bracket on a DE looks terrible

Looks aside, does a bracket change the handling characteristics versus just an outboard?

I have a bracket on my Eastern and though I'm not crazy about the looks, I like how it improved the ride. It's both full width and full flotation, so there is a lot of bracket underwater to counteract the weight of the outboard being further back. It makes my 24 ride a little bigger and a little heavier and gives us a closed transom and a great swim platform.
