Google "Clark Island Boat Works" in Maine and you'll see some amazing craftsmanship. I've been following his builds, as he usually documents with photos and commentary. Facebook seems to showcase this builder's/finisher's most recent work, as his website is some of his older works of art. Anyone know this guy or have one of his boats? I think I saw a 55' WESMAC he is selling on Yachtworld.com to be finished for the new owner. His motto is "Built to Last" and I have to say that from looking at his photos he never cuts corners.

I went to there shop a fiew years a go to get some phillyclad for my platform. They do quality work and they are easy to deal with. If I ever had a boat finished off I would really concider going there.

Local Wesmac's

A couple of local lobsterman down in hull who are good guys have their I believe 42' named Windemere (Peter Mahoney) and his brother John has one I believe the Connie. They deffinately do great work along with Stew Workman of SW Boatworks who also finishes off Wesmac's.

I really like the boat from hailing port "Hull, MA". What size and hull? Beautiful work by the way!

the exhaust goes out the bottom instead of the stern.

the wedge creates a low pressure area that actually pulls the exhaust out of the boat and eliminates back pressure.

a small by-pass is usually added for when the boat is sitting at an idle.

you can (and we have) add a surge tube if there isn't a lot of rise from the waterline to the engine (where the exhaust comes out).

pictures = "that guy builds a nice boat"
text = "that guy has no clue"
