Agreed with above posts. Captain Larry's boat sat for over a year and IMHO is a far superior and better equipped boat which ended up selling when listed at $59K.

Is that a center console behind the chair and another station to the front starboard? Different look for the 31 JC but nice looking sled!!

Seacat: That is correct. There are two helms on this puppy. Some p-towns were laid out like to this to make running the boat single handed easier. Its not my first choice of a lay out, but its all matter of opinion and application

The old dancing bear capt john lowes boat, was a forward stbd side helm only ptown. That boat was a great boat and sexy too. Caught a few fish on the boat and never felt unsafe inshore or offshore in the 31ptown.

Love the idea, great for running the boat while staying in the cockpit

Yep, I love the cockpit helm too.

Anyone here remember the Sea Baby, a 31 JC P-Town??? I remember that beauty in the 80's running around Cape Cod Bay, always love this style JC because of that boat.

Hoop - there's a picture of Sea-Baby in the background of a pic on the de pics thread.

There were a bunch of these in the bay in the 80's/90's - all p-town models set up as stick boats.

This one here was the Hookie, out of Sandwich.
(I'd suggest a really hard look at that power plant - that boat was run hard).

There was also:

Esparato
Marilyn J
Dutchman
Laura-lee
Strike 2

Couple of 35' p-town models - Galatea and Drifter that stuck a lot of fish as well.

Drake's dad also had a nice one, but that's Green Harbor, not really the Cape..

I'm sure there were more that I can't remember, they were very popular.
