Curious,

On a "wet keeled" DE is there a way to "clean" the inside of the keel ?

I'm thinking over the years that silt/mud etc. must get in the keel through the circulation holes and "settle" to the bottom increasing weight etc.

How would you clean out a wet keel.

pressure washer with a 90 degree nozzle or a flexible wand, jam it in there and wiggle it all around. drill and tap for a plug, like 1.5" or so for a drain to get the crap out. you wont get it all or the barnacles/eels/crabs out.

it's nasty in there
