I'm replacing my Sandy damaged GPS antenna extensions and need to redo the connectors to the units after I rerun the cable.

I believe that the Northstar 6000i and the Furuno GP-30 both use TNC connectors. Can anyone tell me if I'm correct?
Thanks guys!

If the antenna connections on the Northstar 6000i are the same as the 952 the connections at the antenna and display unit are simple crimp on connectors that you can get at Fred Chall's.

I just finished working on the connections for our 952 yesterday- the signal is carried in the single solid strand at the core of the wire. So you cut off about an 1/8 of an inch of the surrounding materials, leaving the center strand exposed on its own for that length. Then you slide it into the new connector and crimp down with a regular pair of pliers.
