That ain't Cape Horn, but it's a neat video. I've seen Cape Horn, it doesn't look like that and there are no gannets down there.... If you really want the real deal you need to check out Capt. Irving Johnson- "Around Cape Horn." This guy went down there on a big steel hulled sailing ship, the Peking, which was the biggest ship under sail at the time- over an acre of canvas- one of the last loaded square riggers. I got a DVD of the old B/W film from Mystic Seaport Museum. A must see, well worth having in your video library- amaze your friends when you show it. If you've seen it you know what I'm talking about- a true classic. Irving Johnson was a Hell of a Man. Anyone who would climb up the edge of a sail is a true badass.

Where ever it is, its not a place to be at sea! My guess is North Sea, something looked familiar with it.

It amazes me when I see those pictures then I think how some ordinary seaman gets to change the channel gaskets on water tight doors. All I know is I am glad I do not have a low freeboard!
