That's been for sale on Yachtworld and Craigslist for a long time. What a shame to do that to a Duffy. It looks like it was a bare hull finished by someone that advertises as a "handyman" on Craigslist.

God you wonder if you could pick it up for a steal and just tear into it. 2003 hull, small engine though. I do like a few things about it... not... ha, actually it has a barometer, lol, I like the VHF as well as what the hell is going on with the Garmin on the right, maybe its a model I dont know, but I swear thats mounted upside down, maybe you can flip the screen but not sure... Interesting...

I dont even know if a handyman did that... although probably the easier racor filter changes ever... lol

How come I can look at any downeast and say, hey, I like that, I just need to do this, that and the other thing. I think I may have a problem. Just tells me why i need to get my own hull and start from there...

its definitely different looking! get rid of the hard-top and make it a bass style boat or just lower the top and put a tower on it and it wouldnt look pretty good. how much of a step up is it to get rid of the engine box, its hard to tell by the picture. Has some access under the deck, thats for sure!!

oh, and that garmins definitely upside down! i wonder why!!??

CEShawn,Circular saw is not gunna do it....i would go with a ..CAT 450 Backhoe..and clean house

Thats the problem with DE's, you can definitely customize them out of the market.

Still maybe this will stir someone into looking for it... Someone will pick this up when the price is right and what they want it to do, just will take time.

For about 40/50k I would be interested. Cut the top a bit add a nice hard top or tower. Add a step to get rid of the box. Change the pit around and flip the garmin. It can be made a nice boat but it would need to be a deal for it to be worth your time.

The 31 has a pieced out top doesn't it? You may just need the top section?

Definity have to flip the farming. Would be a sale point for me.

Duffy now has a new way of building the 31 also why older ones to me aren't as interesting. Not sure if old top is available or if new could adapt.

It looked more appealing without all the pictures. For the right price and a handy person could make a nice boat. This project would defidently draw blood on the knuckles!
