I have a 200 Zuke on mine and I’m hitting what the hull is capable of as I hit my max rpm and it has to be smooth water. That’s 30-32kts at 5900 rpms. If I pull it back to 5600 and 27 kts it feels locked in even when running with other boats wakes or a bit of side chop. It can definitely handle the weight, my motor is 380lbs and I have a 40 gallon livewell mounted just in front of that.

The Etec 300 g2 is 200 lbs heavier than your 200 Suzuki

I guess I'm more concerned about those etec g2 engines in general...anyone have any experience with them? if Evinrude discontinues parts and service for them, they're junk anyway

Unfortunately, supposedly carrying on parts availability but the line will be ceased. I'm still hoping out hope they sell the brand off to someone else. That'll be tricky since they use "E-tec's" in their sleds as well.
I heard mercury was going to buy it...

BRP handed over the Parts and Service side to Merc until it ages out. Too bad e-tec is a very well designed engine IMO.
I'm not very familiar with them...especially the NMEA integration...I'm trying to put a deal together on a crowley with a 2017 etec g2 300...the owner can't find any of the manuals...

Are they available online? I would think so even if for a nominal fee.

You should be able to find the operators manual here if you have some of the engine info(model and serial number)
