That doesn't look to be a small boat, I'm guessing 28' or better. Seems odd, no matter what the captain did, that a boat that large could roll over in what looks to be calm seas.

Ouch.

Looking at the other pics, it looks like it was swamped while backing down, but still "stable". Then it's just rolled. I guess that's possible from having a swamped deck and engaging one engine in forward, throwing all the water to starboard and creating tipping momentum?

I would guess it might have had some sort of flooding issue also that was undetected.....bad anyway you look at it....i hope the guys that took the picture ...put the camera down and went to help....not like they do in the subway in new york...where someone gets pushed in front of a train and they keep filming rather then go save the f'n guy
