Deck repair

Had a couple soft spots on floor thought I would just grind up the bad repair, job done.Pulled one piece ended up taking the whole floor up now I have to glass the whole floor, what would you guys recommend for glass mat or cloth and what weight also polyester resin or epoxy thanks.

More info please. What is the substrate? What size deck is it? Pleasure craft or work boat?

30 young brothers plywood deck have to replace a 4x6 sheet thanks.

Dworks,i would use two layers of 1.5 once mat and polyester resin..its old school but it works

If there are any "joints" between the newly replaced wood and the hull, you really should consider something with structural strength like 1708 biaxial. Polyester resin would be fine but epoxy would be better.

Tuna,did i add iam a commercial fishermen so i like to do things cheap!!and hundreds of lobster boats are built this way

1.5 mat, 1808 structure +/- 45, 1.5 mat

Be sure to hot coat your substrate so it's not stealing resin from the layup
