depth of keel

on a boat that is 32 to 35 in length the depth of the keel will probably change the performance what would be the ideal depth on a down east for inshore offshore exec? what manufacture pretty much has it down duffy bhm mitchel south shore

I would tend to think that most boats were designed with some consideration to engine size and horsepower which in turn would also determine keel depth and prop aperture. Most older designes were not
designed for the higher horsepower engines we see today.
