In addition to searching for a new boat on this site, I browse Yachtworld. I typically utilize filtering parameters in my search like length, price etc. I also use “number of engines” and “recently added” . It appears that as of sometime today, the ability to sort by these two parameters are now gone. It certainly makes it difficult to streamline the search.

Wondering if anyone else has experienced this?

From the three options at the top of the home page (boats, research, services) select boats. From the drop-down menu to the left, select type, then power. A new drop-down menu titled power will populate below type from which you can select downeast. The offerings will reveal the diversity in individual brokers' interpretations of "downeast".

Yacht World is out of control, many businesses are finding ways around their pricing and consolidating to avoid excessive fees. I believe that there will be other alternatives in the future for people looking for boats.

Side rant…
I cannot believe how bad Facebook marketplaces search engine and filtering is. It is horrible. That said, it seems that a large number of boats, especially for sale by owner, are listed on Facebook now. Yachtworld seems to be losing business.

I’ve always thought yachtworlds search engine was terrible… you’re right about market place. Pretty much single handedly took out Craigslist

Sad to say but just about the only thing I get out of a 10% broker commission is a listing on YW
That's why I have always chosen to market and sell my boats myself.

With all of the really good online marketing opportunities for seller's to utilize today and if one has decent computer skills, you can put together a pretty organized and informative listing sheet inclusive of "good" pictures. If you aren't able to take good photos yourself, hire someone. Pictures speak a 1,000 words.

My only broker calls have been that "I have a buyer, but you're over priced". I proved them wrong by getting my price in a reasonable amount of time with this past boat heading to the Chesapeake, the previous to Tiburon, CA and the one before that to Puget Sound in Washington State. Well presented, well maintained, upgraded boats sell. Screw YW.

Filtering ability has been restricted/diminished. Also no “sale pending” indication. Could this be connected to soft sales this season??
You are right…….I missed the fact that the “sale pending“ is gone also. Certainly makes it more difficult to find a boat…….plus…..brokers who have boats pending are still going to get calls from prospective buyers. I wouldn't think they would be happy about that.

Actually, I think many would be happy about that —> more prospective clients calling on boats that aren’t really available.
